Skunk+Family Pet=A Smelly Mess

It is inevitable if you live in the country and have pets.  If it hasn’t happened yet, it’s just a matter of time before it does.  Once it happens, it won’t take long to figure out what’s transpired, your beloved pet has met a skunk.  A gentleman told me once, “Oh, the smell of a skunk isn’t bad.  It just reminds us of the country”.  That may be fine for a second or two on a summer day, but the stench on my dog only calls for me to do something quick from my family.  Luckily, experience and that same ‘ol country friend’s instructions have helped me learn the remedy.  Though tomato soup may sound good to eat, the delicacy doesn’t do squat for the stench.  However what will get you back into good graces with your family is Hydrogen Peroxide and Dawn liquid detergent.  Simply saturate your loved one with Hydrogen Peroxide and then bath them with a good dose of Dawn.  The two in combination with each other are the one-two punch needed to be victorious over the foul odor.  They’ll make you happy again that you live where the wild skunks roam.
